There’s a blog out there called “Punk Rock HR, Team Building is for Suckers”. Although we read the blog, we don’t believe for a second that team building is only for suckers. The right experience, for the right people, at the right time, with the right provider can be a great tool for creating shared experiences and stories, jump starting team relationships, exploring shared challenges and solutions, or creating some real value and good relations in the community.

Community Outreach: These Team Building Experiences involve “giving back” to the community. (You’ll see a lot of stuff on the web right now about CSR, which translates into Corporate Social Responsibility - this is that!) We’ve done quite a few of these, imagined more, and have an address book full of contacts who can help us make CSR Team Experience ideas become reality for your team and your community. Imagine your people constructing a wheel chair ramp at a home, painting a house, cleaning up a run-down park, raising money “Apprentice - Style”, or even building bikes for kids.
